…why did you choose balet?
I don’t remember myself really choosing ballet, it’s always been a part of me since when I was a small kid dancing at home to any kind of music , simply growing up I couldn’t imagine a life without it so through the years it became more serious until becoming a professional.
…have you ever thought about anything else?
If I dint have the option to be a ballet dancers I would have chosen to get into psychology or anything regarding helping other people. another big passion I have is painting also since a very young age.
…how does your normal day look like? (before quarantine and now)
A normal working day before quarantine consisted of 8 hours of training, we start at 10 with ballet class and then rehearsals until 6 pm and if we have shows we work until 2pm and then we are back in the theater around 6pm depending on when the show starts. During the lockdown I was training an home , usually doing a ballet barre and some other exercises and also painting a lot, now that the gyms are opened I also go there for like 1h and half to keep myself moving .
…what gives you inspiration and motivation in difficult moments?
I feel lucky to have a very supportive family and my best friend that works with me at the polish national ballet , we know each others since many years so I know In any difficult time I can count on his amazing supportive energy . I find inspiration from many things , from other dancers , but mostly from normal life experiences out of ballet.
…what do you value the most in your life?
im thankful everyday for everything I have in my life , my friends and family have an extremely important value to me , the fact that my career has brought into many different countries and I had the chance to meet many people coming from all over the world and merge with different cultures and ideas,and of course the fact that I am able to call my biggest passion my job
…what do you value the most in you?
The fact that if I want to do something I really find any possible way to get there, also the fact that I always try to see the positive side of everything even about the more unpleasant things that can happen.
…inspiration thought or quote for other people:
What I can say to other dancers that want to get serious about this beautiful art or simply to anyone is that they shouldn’t stop at the first obstacles , because those moment will only get them stronger , and to simply keep on going to follow what their heart wants them to do and what truly makes them feel happy and alive.
