…why did you choose balet?
I‘ve been dancing since I was 3 years old. I was constantly dancing in my parent’s living room and I would make them look at me dancing all day long. My parents took me to the local school and I‘m still on that pathway.
…have you ever thought about anything else?
I‘ve thought about different professions in my life and some years ago I was interested in law and interior designing. Since dance had been a big part of my whole life I thought that it would be the most natural professional career for me to invest in.
…how does your normal day look like? (before quarantine and now)
I normally would work from 10 to 6, a day full of rehearsals and maybe a show in the evening. During quarantine we‘ve had a completely different daily schedule. I could only do class at home. On the side I would do some strengthening for the entire body to keep fit and strong.
…what gives you inspiration and motivation in difficult moments?
I was inspired to stay positive by the fact that I could finally have time to do things that I normally wouldn’t have the time for. Go out to explore the nature, bike, run and take a good care of my body. That kept me going through the quarantine.
…what do you value the most in your life?
This time of our lives has made me value a lot more the simple things in life, like being able to go outside, being healthy, being able to move, work, the things that we take too often for granted. Even though I might have the privilege to do a lot in my life, it doesn’t mean that everyone else is able to do so. So I appreciate everything I have and everything I‘m able to do.
…inspiration thought or quote for other people:
„Sometimes you can do everything right and things will still go wrong. The key is never stop doing right.“ – Unknown
…the most beautiful moment in your life:
My life is beautiful, with its ups and downs, with the tears and laughter. There’s no certain moment I can name.
…what is your favourite ballet and why?
My ultimately favorite ballet has to be the Lady of Camellias. So many emotions on stage, so human.
