I‘ve been dancing since I was 3 years old. I was constantly dancing in my parent’s living room and I would make them look at me dancing all day long. My parents took me to the local school and I‘m still on that pathway.
I‘ve thought about different professions in my life and some years ago I was interested in law and interior designing. Since dance had been a big part of my whole life I thought that it would be the most natural professional career for me to invest in.
I normally would work from 10 to 6, a day full of rehearsals and maybe a show in the evening. During quarantine we‘ve had a completely different daily schedule. I could only do class at home. On the side I would do some strengthening for the entire body to keep fit and strong. I was inspired to stay positive by the fact that I could finally have time to do things that I normally wouldn’t have the time for. Go out to explore the nature, bike, run and take a good care of my body. That kept me going through the quarantine.
This time of quarantine has made me value a lot more the simple things in life, like being able to go outside, being healthy, being able to move, work, the things that we take too often for granted. Even though I might have the privilege to do a lot in my life, it doesn’t mean that everyone else is able to do so. So I appreciate everything I have and everything I‘m able to do.
